Downloads portable ZIP (ssh-client-windows-x64.zip) or tarball (ssh-client-linux-x64.tar.gz) into user staging cache (~/.ssh-client/staging/) and unpacks payload in the background without interrupting work.

One-click [Restart & Apply Update] in Settings spawns a detached helper script, terminates BEAM processes cleanly to release Windows file locks, swaps release files, and relaunches the app in under 2 seconds.
